Bee Minus for Bugaboo

5th October 2011

Bugaboo has temporarily stopped selling its popular Bugaboo Bee Plus buggy, after a large number of complaints about the stability of its wheels.

Some parents who bought the new model released in January have been complaining that the front wheels could lock up sideways, in some circumstances causing the pushchair to tip over.

Bugaboo has, in response, stopped selling the Bee Plus until it can rectify the problem and has committed to sending new re-engineered wheels to all those that have bought an affected model. In the meantime it asks that any users of a Bee Plus, bought between January and September 2011 to take extra care when pushing and also to lock the front wheels so that they can no longer swivel.

The revised Bugaboo Bee Plus is expected to be back in shops toward the end of October 2011.
